Description: The Lord Mayor opens the "Bank", which consists of the shell of a Mark IV Tank turned into a bank to sell War Bonds (no good shot of the tank). Sir Eric Geddes, the First Lord of the Admiralty, queues with some naval officers to buy his own bonds, as part of the crowd. The various carriages and cars are shown arriving outside the galleries, but the exhibition itself is never shown. The King leaves his carriage followed by Queen Mary, the Prince of Wales and Princess Mary. Queen Alexandra arrives by a second carriage with Princess Victoria. The sailors march along the waterfront into position on a wet and rainy day. Wemyss arrives with his staff officers, but neither he nor the investiture is clearly seen as he passes rapidly down the ranks.Mrs Lloyd George stands between two women in Welsh national costume, one holding a Welsh Dragon flag, the other a poster for the "Saint Nicholas Home For Raid-Shock Children". The rest of the group includes some children in Welsh costume. Mrs Lloyd George drives off in a car covered with daffodils. She arrives to join another group collecting for the "London Welsh Flag Day". The collectors, in Welsh national costume, are shown grouped together.Men of French First Army march with their wagons down a road in the wet. British soldiers of Fifth Army come down the other way with their field cookers. The soldiers of the two armies halt and fraternise, exchanging cigarettes and talking.
